Qualifications:

Firefighter 1 &2 certified

Current NREMT/Paramedic and or AZ Paramedic certification

National Registry or Arizona State EMT or Paramedic

Be able to pass a full background check

Clean 39-month Motor Vehicle Report

High School or equivalent

18 years of age

Wildland Certified or able to complete in 12 months after hire (We provide the training)

All application packets will be reviewed and evaluated based upon the qualifications and criteria outlined in this information packet. Those candidates that the Heber-Overgaard Fire District determines to be best qualified will be invited to participate in the hiring selection process. 

The selection process will consist of a physical agility test, an initial interview, and a final interview with the Fire Chief. 

The Heber-Overgaard Fire District requires criminal and driving history background checks prior to employment. 

Heber-Overgaard Fire District works a 48/96 schedule A, B, C rotation.
